Full-Text - AbstractBesides the developments of the known investigators in the USA, Europe and Japan, a number of new groups from the East European Countries have been publishing their results and demonstrating their set-ups.
An comprehensive literature study and some meetings with international experts give the impression to the authors that the techniques have reach a state of maturity and applicability in process lines.
The contribution describes the state of the art with special emphasis on the applicability of the different set-ups, on the preassumptions made for the specific applications and on comparisons with the established techniques with regard to time requirements and, local resolutions and comparability of the results.
