The thinfilm magnetosensitive elements (ME) produced by means of integral technology are used in this detector. ME are united into interchangeable blocks each detector with the of those is the independently functionating 16-elements fault control zone covering 16 mm. Depending on diameter of controlled tubes (from 20 to 114 mm) in a work take part from 6 to 24 electronic blocks, their information is received to common panel and from there to executive devices (tubes' sorter etc.) or to a fault marker and indicator devices. At the same time the signal of the fault comes in panel of the welder operating the tube-welding unit who effectively changes conditiones of welding untill the quality joint is obtained.
As a result of experimental and industrial exploitation of that volume-joint fault detector in factory conditions it is ascertained that its sensitivity corresponds to the highest level of sensitivity set up by standarts API, DIN and ASTM.
