Abstract

Maintenance of process installation is still a necessity to realise high process reliability. Infrared thermography is becoming more and more an useful 'tool' for predictive maintenancein the process and electrical industry. New high performance and easy to use equipment make new applications possible. These advantages makes infrared thermography the fasted growing NDT method in now adays industry. Many applications of infrared thermograph are still unknown and the potential of this methodis still growing.

Normal and infrared view installation.
The illustrated pictures shows a normal and an infrared view of isolated piping in apetrochemical plant. The temperatures are illustrated in the infrared picture.
