The system integrates to different inspection technique for multiple applications. First the Impuls Video Thermography (Reflectiontest) is used for the inspection of the coatinglayers of the blades or vanes.
Second the Transmission Thermography is used for the inspection of the inner cooling structure of the blades and vanes. Either they have cooling cannel's or film-cooling holes. For quick handling of the blades and for the direct application of the different techniquesspecial adapter for the blade clamping were designed.
For every blade type a parameter setup for the different technique can be stored and used forthe automatic inspection of a complete set of blades. The infrared images of ail inspectionsequence can be stored on optical disk and managed by a database, which is integrated in the system.
The inspection system and both techniques will be discussed in detail and additionally sometypical examples will be presented.
