Abstract

One of main "disturbing" factors under ultrasonic testing of austenitic welds is a structured noise. In work is considered the scheme of dispersion effects in anisotropic material with different types of structures and are analysed reasons of their appearance. The spectrum of structured noise is considered as an element united the frequency spectrum, reflecting interaction of ultrasonic field with given parameters and non-homogeneous media with determined type of structure.

Decision of this problem allows to use more efficient acoustic methods of investigation and diagnostics of austenitic materials and their joints.

Special unit is designed for ultrasonic testing to ultrasonic flaw detector, allowing to define a changing a frequency spectrum at the passing of ultrasonic waves through the anisotropic structure and receive a signal on the optimum frequency.
