Keywords: Ultrasonic Examination, Applications
Abstract
In this article the P-scan ultrasonic system in represented to cite as an example to clear some details of exploitation of automated units for ultrasonic testing of the quality of welded joints.
The advantages of computerized flaw detectors in comparison with traditional methods of manual ultrasonic testing are shown. On the basis of comparison analysis of results of ultrasonic testing made through some time intervals it is possible to determine the development of potentially dangerous defects and thus to predict the destruction of object for testing. The possibility of estimation of metal sulphur-hydrogen defeat according to results of ultrasonic inspection is shown. On the basis of ultrasonic information received it became possible to create the criterional evaluation system that permit the safety using of equipment
