Abstract

Quality in NDT depends upon a number of factors among which qualification of personnel, technical state and correctness of choice of testing equipment, availability of approved working procedures of examination, NDT equipment calibration have decisive importance.
However for give the customer confidence that satisfactory quality of nondestructive testing will be provided it is necessary to have a system of quality management and confirm the effectiveness of its functioning.

Considering realisation of non-destructive testing as a process which has both input and output, requirements of ISO standards 9000 Series can be used. A company (laboratory) rendering services in NDT for internal or external customers shall establish and improve testing quality through management of processes and their interaction. Its own network of processes has to be developed, proceeding from the character of testing and features of objects to be tested, and interrelated closely to the elements of the quality system.
