CTE 941.2-93 specifies laboratories subject to accreditation in National system. Among others laboratories with legal status, results of testing and measurements of which are used in assessment of safety of products, works and services, in diagnostics of technical state of critical safety objects and vehicles are noted. These laboratories use different NDT methods in their activities.
Requirements stated in the System of accreditation to the competence of calibration and testing laboratories are formulated in CTE 941.3-93.
But laboratories using NDT methods have a set of features. Specific requirements must be specified for evaluation of their technical competence. These requirements were reflected in rules of interstate standardization - AMF 15-96 "Requirements to the competence of laboratories of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics".
Significant subjective component, such as training and qualification of personnel, is present at NDT implementation and assessment of its results thus all specialists carrying out NDT have to be certified in compliance with CTE EN 473.
Important attention is given to training and qualification of NDT personnel both in National system of accreditation and in international documents, EAL-G 15 for example. AMF 15-96 are harmonised with EAL G- 15.
The main task of non-destructive testing is reception of objective and reliable information about the object being examined in assessment of its quality. Calibration of NDT equipment before the testing realization, adjustment of characteristics on special standard blocks and periodical examination of testing parameters are very important.
In non-destructive tesing both stationary and portable equipment is used, the latter - more frequently. Transportation of equipment to the object to be tested demands adjustment of testing parameters directly before the examination realization.
Comparative evaluation of international and national requirements both in the part of the volume and frequency of calibration procedures and examination of devices for ultrasonic and radiographic testing was accomplished. This review showed that procedures specified in national documents on testing and documentsEAL coincide very much.
