Eddy Current Probe Based on Local Field Excitation

ABSTRACT
This paper deals with a way of the resolution power in the process of the non-destructive material evaluation. A novel eddy current probe, based on a magnetic circuit generating a local excitation field was experimentally tested Responses, which were obtained by the lock-in system on artificial cracks in stainless steel and Inconel samples, are presented and the results are discussed.
