Manufacturing specification
Flawed specimens determine the degree of difficulty of NDT qualifications and therefore truly how good the technicians really are.
Flawed specimens are more fundamental to qualifications than the politics, it does not really matter who conducts them, how often they are conducted and where they are conducted the key objective should be the ability of the NDT technicians
The international NDT industry has a responsibility to ensure only well trained, suitably qualified and responsible technicians work in industry. In most case their work is the final inspection.
Flawed specimens offer the NDT industry an opportunity to achieve Global Standardisation of NDT Training and Qualifications
