Having completed the work on the ferritic pipework inspections, thin wall and intermediate wall austenitic pipe work inspections were addressed next. This paper describes the experience of applying qualification to these austenitic components. It discusses the approach undertaken, the issues that had to be addressed and the solutions that were applied to the problems encountered. The integration of the qualification process with the ISI application is discussed, along with operator performance.
