It used as an array transducer with weighting techniques.
A high-speed inspection system, which is using multiple channel immersion transducers, is applied to a final inspection on seamless stainless steel tube production line.
This configuration causes gaps in the physical coverage gaps provided by the transducer, and we are trying to eliminate these beam gaps by using array transducer.
On the first phase of this project, we have developed the beam profile simulation technology of array transducer for which actual measurement of one element was used for this time only.
The results of this simulation were found to agree well with the actual measurement results, and to provide much available information for an effective and optimised transducer design.
