ABSTRACT The magnitude sequence of E-moduli of pure metals belonging to the same subgroup of the Periodic Table with increasing atomic number AN is the same as the magnitude sequence of the corresponding shear and bulk moduli [G and B], and of the corresponding specific heat capacities and latent fusion heat. The periodic changes of E-moduli with continuous increase of AN are in the same direction as the changes of specific heat capacity and fusion heat. The E-moduli magnitude sequence of metals of the same subgroup are of different types: 1. where E decreases with AN, 2. where E increases with AN, 3. where the magnitude sequence of E is high-low-high. Similar is the corresponding sequence of Mohs hardness numbers in the first and second cases. The E-moduli of the first group of metals have small magnitudes, the metals of subgroups where E increases with AN have the highest values of E-moduli. Similar is the situation for the values of corresponding specific heat capacities. expressed in energy concentration units.
