ABSTRACT The subject of the paper are service load tests for one of the most commonly used high strength aluminium alloys in leightweight construction, alloy 2024. Parameters of the investigations are the influence of the period length, the shape of the cumulative frequency distribution and the mean load fluctuations on the fatigue life of a construction component.
