Application of the Wavelet-Transformation - Analysis of Acustic Emission
Hans-Jürgen Ruck und Hans-Wolf Reinhardt, Stuttgart
ABSTRACT During investigations of weak signals the problem of short distances between the signils frequently arises. As a result, the needed information can often not be extracted from such signals. As a solution filters or transformation procedures can be applied. As such a tool, the Wavelet-transformation has been established during the recent years. This procedure enables a time-dependent as well as a frequency-dependent presentation of the measurement signal. This property can also be described as a selective filtering and is applied for the inverse Wavelet-transformation.
