Mechanized Performance of Fatigue Crack Propagation Tests - Application of the Measurement and Controlling Program FAMControl

ABSTRACT In the scope of this paper a measuring data logging and controlling system FAMControl will be presented. With FAMControl it is possible to perform fatigue crack growth experiments under constant amplitude loading as well as under service loading fully automatic. In addition to experiments for the determination of fracture mechanical values or for the crack growth curve also experiments with arbitrary load sequences are feasible.
