News from Standardization in Materials Testing

ABSTRACT In the present contribution the aspects of international standardization in materials testing and its results are highlighted. The novel developments in standardization are presented for the following areas: mechanical testing (hardness measurements, tensile testing, Charpy tests), testing and calibration of test machines and test certificates following DIN EN 10204. Furthermore, actual information about the various standardization committee meetings is given.
