Physical features of pure metalsEffect of temperature on Young's modulus, hardness number and specific heat capacity of pure metals
Alfred Buch, Haifa/Israel
ABSTRACT In the present contribution the effect of temperature on three different physical properties of pure metals is highlighted. By several examples the linear behavior of these parameters in a large temperature range is explained by the linear or at least near linear behavior of the specific heat as a function of the temperature of pure metals. Additionally, it is outlined that in the case of near equal electric resistances the alteration of Young´s modulus at a specific temperature increase is quite similar for metals of the same subgroup of the periodic system and which have the same structure.
