ABSTRACT Analyzing residual stresses inside a mechanical component or visualizing the inner structure of an object on micrometer scale are only two examples for applications of non-destructive testing methods at Hahn-Meitner-Institut in Berlin. This article gives a short overview to the most important of these methods and presents various applications.
