French Commission to Certify NDT Qualification Performances

ABSTRACT
A new order issued in November 1999 enhanced the regulation requirements in the field of structural integrity, component behaviour and non-destructive testing for primary and secondary circuits of PWR plants. Following this order, the Utility has to create an independent skilled commission to certify the performances of the NDT applications used for in-service inspections. In the framework of this qualification process according ENIQ rules, the commission role is explained and examples of certified NDT applications are presented.
