Defectology Associated to WWER's Steam Generator Critical Areas: Enhancing the ISI's NDT Technology and Development Trends

ABSTRACT
Once a complete review of the defectology associated to the main areas of the WWER Steam generator (tubes, collectors, welds and flange threaded zones) should be done, one detailed analysis of the current NDT technologies applied and repairing countermeasures shall be presented. The paper shall also present the advantages of the new improved NDT techniques applied, in terms of safety, productivity, reliability and high flaw POD focusing also the description of the main driving actions required on further R&D related programs.
