Temperature and Strain Thomography Analysis by Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance
Daniel J. Pusiol, FaMAF, Universidad Nac. de Cordoba, Cordoba, Argentine
ABSTRACT Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance NQR Thomographyc Imaging is used to image the density, temperature and/or strain tridimensional distribution in nonmetallic solids. Techniques for fast (real time) data acquisition and processing are reported. The method involves positionally selected NQR spectroscopy of plastics, pharmacs and other nonmetallic materials. Applications to control material characterization, material quality, production processes and devices functions are discussed.
