FULL-TEXT - ABSTRACT For instance, the forced stoppage of one NPP Unit with 1000 MVt electrical power costs about 675,000 US$ per day in Ukraine.
The NPP is a complex system and its safety is related to the safety of each of the system elements. Electric power communication safety occupies at the first place in the NPP safety problem. Cables are the sources of fire. In history there are well-known cases led to the technical accident being not so far from significant problems.
This article is regarded to the task of NDT methods complex optimization with idea to detect set of possible most dangerous defects for NPP electric power system cables taking into account the criteria of defect detection and resources losses efficiency. Characteristic defects of electric power system are following: isolation resistance reduction, isolation deterioration, cable filament rupture, isolation fire, etc. It is proposed to install probes at the electric power cable and to measure characteristic parameters - temperatures of cable and environmental. After this is formed task as multilevel one-criterion task of discrete programming and it is considered algorithm of it solution.
Efficiency of NDT methods complex application depends on scheme of control organization, their planning, information monitoring, and personnel.
