Applied Reliability the Improvement of the Quality of the Product with Accompaniment of Multivariate Statistical
Luis Felipe Lopes, UFSC, Santa Maria, RS, Brasil
ABSTRACT There is no doubt that the improvement of the reliability of a product is the most important aspects of a program of quality. Thinking about that, this work intends to develop a multivariate methodology that will be an alternative manner to determine the time of life, rates of flaw and the reliability of an equipment, which components have its useful lives correlated. The analysis of principal components will be used to search for solutions as problems of specifications of a product. Parametric and non-parametric techniques will be used to estimate the reliability functions, this way will be determined the efficiency of the new methodology for reliability of equipment. The methodology proposed isn't worried about what kind of system will be utilized, if in series, in parallel or mixed. The improvement of the performance of analysis of reliability of a complex system will be established through the reduction of the number of components that will be analyzed. The purpose of study of simulation was reached. The principal components analyze together with reliability shown a consistent and efficient alternative technique to determine the time of life, the flaw rate and mainly the reliability of equipment. Besides this the major consequence was the reduction of costs, it is, if there is a reduction in the number of components that will be analyzed, there will be a reduction in the operational costs.
