There are a great variety of the tests that try to help the Civil Engineers to characterize the existent degradation in the reinforced concrete structures. The reinforcement corrosion is the pathology that more interests the engineers and other professionals that work in this area to search tests, usually non-destructive-tests (NDT) that present the state the structure. These tests permit to evaluate and monitor the structure without changing the service characteristics. These tests permit to decide about intervention, regarding the structure maintenance. This paper presents a synopsis about the NDT to evaluate the reinforcement corrosion in the structure: the methodologies, the correct form of the application, the measured properties, and the normalization and application examples.
