| Abstract |
| | High speed traffic requires enhanced supervision of wheelsets.For this purpose, an installation for wheelset diagnosis was set up in the ICE depot at Hamburg-Eidelstedt.Cracks in the running surface are located by means of ultrasound; wheelset dimensions are determined using the light-slice method; and wheelsets are examined for eccentricity with the aid of a measuring bar.Experience gained in the development and the placing into service of this installation is reported.(Author abstract) |
