| Abstract | |
| Less commonly used techniques for ultrasonic nondestructive testing include optical generation and detection of ultrasonic signals, laser ultrasonics, air-coupled transducers, electromagnetic acoustic transducers and impedance spectroscopy and resonance methods. Unique advantages of the different methods for evaluating Al, graphite-epoxy composites, seamless steel pipe, austenitic steel welds and cladding, railroad rails, and wheels are described.
