| Abstract |
| | On almost all railways, the axles, wheels and rails are tested at regular intervals, mostly using specialized ultrasonic testing methods. A test sensitivity about one to some mm flaw depth, which can be easily achieved by means of adopted probes, may be regarded as a good compromise, considering the technical as well as the economical demands. The paper reviews details from the experience of a user. 20 ref.-AA |
