Abstract

Eddy Current testing method (ECT) is presented in this article. This method works according to the principle of electromagnetic induction. This is a non-destructive method so it is used for damage detection in materials. The main characteristics and fundamentals of this method are described here. Also ECT parametersfor different degradation mechanisms on tubes of steam generators in PWR nuclear power plants are presented
