Abstract:
New advantages for quality control of Plastic Gas Pipes with an
Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Rotation Machine
Author Rolf Diederichs
Abstract
The article describes the need for in-line automated ultrasonic flaw
detection for gas plastic pipes.
There are economically feasible solutions available, even for
inexpensive plastic pipe production sites, and safety expenditures pay
off in the long run. This article describes a possible
design and gives recommendations for buyers as well as suppliers'
sites, and
serves as a general
introduction on how to find a specific ultrasonic test procedure. The system is based on Ultrasonic testing with a rotary head
and is available and on the market.
