INTRODUCTION
THE ARRAY
CHARACTERIZING PERFORMANCE USING MACHINED NOTCHES
SUMMARY
SUMMARY
In summary machined notches provide a convenient method of characterizion of this boreprobe design. Current beam size makes the probe very sensitive to shallow cracks, but depth measurement is unlikely unless additional features in the response are evaluated. Longitudinal profiles are useful for establishment of the detectable range of a reflector and the subsequent establishment of probe test speeds.
