IN CHINA AND OUR VIEW POINT OF ISO 9712

The growth of qualification and certification of NDT personnel in China especially after the
founding of the Chinese Society for NDT in 1978 has been briefly introduced in the paper. When
and why we carried out ISO 9712 in the qualification and certification in our society and our
viewpoint of it have been shown as well. We would like to see under the ISO 9712, the
qualification and certification will be more standardized and normalized, that is the foundation
for setting up the international recognition. It benefits not only the NDT personnel in developing
country but in developed country as well.
