By means of the off-axis collimated plane wave coherent light arrangement and a loading device by pure bending, Poisson's ratio values of CFRP (carbon fiber-reinforced plastics plates, lay-up 0°, 90°), GFRP (glass fiber-reinforced plastics plates, radial direction) and PMMA (polymenthal methacrylate, x, y direction) have been measured. In virtue of this study, the ministry standard for Ministry of Aeronautical Industry (Testing method for the measurement of Poisson's ratio of non-metallic by laser holographic interferometry) had been published. The measurement process is fast and simple. The measuring results are reliable and accurate.
