ABSTRACT This paper described ultrasonic C-scan general methods and high resolution detecting technology, main described mechanical C-scan method and broad band-narrow pulse technology, including immersion scanner instrument and computer data acquisition and colour C-scan display as well as recording systems. Further described standard samples with artificial defects and R- Z rotary raster (cylinder) scan model, given the testing results and colour C-scan graphics of the electron beam welding of ring samples.
