However, the interdisciplinary approaches to the adequate planning and effective implementation of developed NDE programmes have not boiled down only to their technical aspects. A current modernization of educational and training NDE programmes has been also stipulated by a market driven business environment where each industrial company is eager to attain, maintain or regain satisfactory economic position. Through this approach, NDE programmes planning, design and marketing should be more flexible or just adapting ones to the changes in the shortest time. The role of different links involved in providing regional NDT training programmes are examined and highlighted by the changes taking place both in the NDE needs and post-centralized industry at enhanced customers' expectations in a competitive environment. Some current trends referred to the standardization, quality assurance and certification concepts are also considered.
