In the latest two years the work has been concentrated on inspection of flexible pipelines which find increasing applications in the offshore petroleum industry.

High energy radiographic sources up to 6 MeV have been tested with promising results. Some of these equipment are quite mobile and easy to handle.

Different type of detectors have been used together with film. Special techniques have been used to detect movement of the polymer layers in the flexible pipe. There are plans for operating the RTR subsea.
