In this work we present a study of the design and implementation of two ultrasonic transducers, the first linearly focused while the second is point focused. We start with a theoretical and experimental study of a broad band piezoelectric transducer including connections between the integrating parts and response. Energy transmission coefficient of the transducer is calculated from boundary conditions using the software developed for this task. We also solve the electrical impedance of the transducer, the velocity of the vibration waves in the pancake surface and the generated acoustic field for a PZT-5 transducer. Theoretical and experimental results, which are in good agreement are discussed.
