ABSTRACT
ICNDT has promoted international harmonization of qualification and certification of NDT personnel. Its contribution is well reflected in many standard documents, notably EN473 by CEN and ISO 9712. There are differences in between due to gaps in distance and time. ISO/TC135/SC7 has worked for a revision. Recently its WG2 produced a final draft. It will take still some time before it will be published as an ISO standard. Because of its importance, a brief review of major revisions is presented. Several remarks for further consideration are mentioned.
