TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION OF NDE PERSONNEL IN INDIA

ABSTRACT
Till about 30 years back, NDE in India was not wide spread. Very few industries were using it and testing was entrusted to few workers who had acquired the skill by experience and on the job training. Increased application of NDE particularly in nuclear, petrochemical, aeronautical and defence, created need for NDE specialists at various levels. To meet this, Indian Society for Non-destructive Testing is conducting NDE courses since 1976.
