The specialized instrument is developed for the in-situ applications. This instrument consists of impact device, broad- band receiver, the data acquisition board and processing software. The data acquisition board consists of filer and amplifier, A/D converter, FIFO memory and control circuits, and its overall size is only half of XT add-on board. It can be attached to the IBM PC compatible notebook PC. Its degitizing speed is up to 1 M sample/s, and the length of buffer is 8192. This instrument can be used for 3 hours without charging the battery. In short, the portable and convenient instrument has been developed.
