Using effect of Barkhausen Noise to test fatigue damage and to assess surplus life of component and structure is a new Nondestructive Testing method. Fatigue damage involves changes in residual stress, in mechanical function of material as well as in dislocation density and arrangement. Barkhausen Noise is known to be sensitive to these changes. In this paper investigation were conducted into the effect of cyclic loading of specimens of 45** steel on the intensity parameter of Barkhausen Noise. The equipment is STRESSCAN 500C which is made by American stress Technologies. INC. By using of high cyclic fatigue test, the relationship between intensity parameter of Barkhausen Noise and cyclic number is obtained. Recommendations are given for evaluation the degree of fatigue damage in steel specimens using the Barkhausen Noise method.
