ABSTRACT
Every machine user makes an investment decision for any project after estimating the useful life of the machine. The service life of the machine (motor)winding insulations is usually estimated by extrapolation several experts in these fields of high voltage engineering and insulation have adopted accelerated stress testing procedures to carry-out the life estimation of insulation. The performance and life of a machine depends on design, manufacturing quality, its application and maintenance. Since insulations is the heart of an electrical machine, selection of proper insulation to protect the winding from pre-matured failure is essential. By routinely conducting diagnostic test acts as decision support system for maintenance engineer to take corrective measures and feature actions.
