ABSTRACT
The paper reviews the current status of Nondestructive testing and evaluation (NDT&E), in relation to materials science and technology. It suggests a path of growth for Nondestructive testing and evaluation, taking into account the increase in data and knowledge. We recommend artificial intelligence (AI) concepts for maximising the contributions of and benefits from, Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation.
