The information is sufficient to calculate number of the mechanical properties of material such as the elastic modulus, the yield stress, the Vickers or Brinell hardness and etc.
As the result of processing according the model of the elastic- plastic deformation, the current magnitude of contact force, plastic and elastic displacements and strain in contact area are computed. The influence of strain rate in flow stress of the material is investigated. The method of quantitative evaluation of the mechanical properties of material by the elastic-plastic deformation parameters is described.
In the paper the results of comparison of magnitudes of the elastic modulus, yield stress, the Vickers hardness with the data of conventional tensile tests are submitted. It is shown that the yield stress in a unique manner connects with the slope of curve the contact force - the depth of indenter displacement. The method of the determination of the yield stress is suitable for materials being plastic deformed.
