Penetrating inspection is one of the important Non-Destructive Testing methods, which are used to test defects of surface of material. But the Penetrating fluids which is used now are almost all made with organic solvent, including coloured penetrating fluid and fluorescence penetrating fluids, such fluids have defects as following:

1. Easy to burn;
2. Some ingredients may be poisonous;
3. Can't be used at machine parts which should contact with pure oxygen.

Then, it is the desire of the researchers of NDT factory to find a permeable fluid which is made with water as the basic material. Of course, there are some difficulties. First, permeability of the water is poor. Second, the water will make the metal rust. In much researching practices, we have some results.

We found that among the permeable fluid which is made with water as the basic material added some dispenser, with the resection of electric field, there are the reaction of the penetrating fluids to the metal. Such as absorption, wet, capillary is increased highly. Meanwhile, the ability of entering the small veins on the metal surface is enhanced. Water-electroosmose penetrating fluid is actually a water solution. It cannot burn and is basically non-poisonous with low pollution. The ingredients of the electrophoretic penetrating fluid are:

1. Water,
2. disperse prescription,
3. ionized object,
4. dyestuff,
5. antirusting agent.

While, the electro-dissociation object can classify to positive electro-dissociation object and negative electro-dissociation object. They have

(-COOH), (-OH), (-NH2), (-O-), atom etc. They not only can form electro-dissociation object but also can dissolve in other permeation liquid to form even liquid.

The electrophoretic penetrating fluids which we experimented can work separately under different strength electric field. But certain penetrating fluid has best electric figure. There is no different between it and normal permeate inspection, only a applied electrical field is added while doing the permeate treatment,. The inspecting sensitivity of the water- electroosmose, permeate liquid is higher than the normal permeate inspection. The subtle crackle which open width is 0.01 mm can be checked out in the laboratory. This inspecting treatment can be used on the Non-Destructive inspection aeronautical and astronautical industry, high pressure vessel, high-temperature and speed machine, nuclear power plant, etc.
