Penetrating inspection is one of the important Non-Destructive Testing methods, which are used to test defects of surface of material. But the Penetrating fluids which is used now are almost all made with organic solvent, including coloured penetrating fluid and fluorescence penetrating fluids, such fluids have defects as following:
Then, it is the desire of the researchers of NDT factory to find a permeable fluid which is made with water as the basic material. Of course, there are some difficulties. First, permeability of the water is poor. Second, the water will make the metal rust. In much researching practices, we have some results.
