ABSTRACT (PURPOSE) This study was conducted on the standing trees grown in different plantation sites with different spacings with hammer impact and signal recording on the sides along the vertical axis of the stems for collecting the data to use for the assessment and prediction of quality of wood in standing trees. Furthermore, ultrasonic pulse tests were conducted on same specimens and comparison was made between those two different methods of nondestructive tests.
