Development and Use of Stress Wave Meter, to Detect the Presence of Decay in Wood Blocks

ABSTRACT
A laboratory system was developed for the measurement of stress wave velocities in small samples of wood. The system was satisfactorily tested for accuracy, consistency and sensitivity on wood samples affected by different types of decay.
