Preface
    Welcome to the first electronic online Ultrasonic Testing Encyclopedia. We had originally planned to just do a glossary. If we had stayed with that idea, it would be finished now. Instead, we decided to build a UT -Encyclopedia, which just can't be done in a month. Oh, well, slower is better.

    Will the Encyclopedia be finished once?
    - No! It will never be finished.
    The material will be continually improved, more words, more extended information, more WWW-Links.
    As Internet bandwidth and browser capabilities increase, some multimedia and Java clips will be added too. So don't save the material on your disk, come back and study online or just use it on demand.
