NDTnet and the WCNDT 2000 signed a joint venture agreement

(NDTnet 17.12.1999) NDTnet and the Italian NDT Society (AIPnD), host of the 15th World Conference 15-21 October 2000 in Rome, have signed a joint venture agreement. The main points of the contract are:

NDTnet will produce the WCNDT 2000 proceedings on CD-ROM

NDTnet will publish the complete contents of the CD-ROM at http://www.ndt.net
NDTnet is one of the exclusive sponsors of the WCNDT 2000
AIPnD is publisher and holds the copyright of the CD-ROM

Publishing more than an expected 600 conference papers, a total of about 3000 printed pages will be a major publishing project on the Internet. The spread of NDT information worldwide will benefit the entire NDT community. Internet publishing offers WCNDT authors the opportunity for much greater exposure than traditional publishing.
The CD-ROM will be available worldwide, for installation in library networks, making the information much more easily accessible than the printed word.
