Saudi Arabian Section of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (SAS-ASNT) and Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) are organizing the 3rd Middle East Nondestructive Testing Conference and Exhibition at Gulf International Convention Center, Gulf Hotel, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain from November 27-30, 2005.

This conference offers a unique venue for NDT professionals to interact and share inspection problems and NDT solutions. The Gulf region is the site of the largest oil facilities in the world with continuing aging infrastructure and extreme environmental conditions demanding effective and novel NDT solutions.

The ability of NDT to detect defects before failure is of paramount importance in the oil and gas industry. This is critical to allowing safe, reliable, and efficient operation of process facilities. Sustaining oil and gas production is a challenge and equipment reliability is critical to meet continuous processing demands.

Both the 1st and 2nd Middle East Nondestructive Testing Conference and Exhibition were very successful with over 700 attendees and 56 exhibitors thus presenting a world class chance to exchange technical ideas concerning non-destructive testing. The conference committee is dedicated to bringing top experts and professionals in the field of NDT to address local and industry-wide problems through presentations, seminars and workshops.

Conference Theme

The theme for this conference is Innovative NDT Solutions for Reliability of Petrochemical Industry Facilities. The conference and exhibition will focus on the challenges for the NDT industry and will involve the latest innovative NDT solutions, methodology, techniques, certification, training and equipment reliability. The organizers of the conference wish to emphasize the role of existing and new NDT technologies in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
